Typically two to three days depending on the type of floor treatment you choose and condition of your existing surface. Day 1 – The first step is the diamond grinding of the floor after the entire surface area has been cleared and Vacumed. A diamond grinder is a floor preperation machine that grinds the concrete surface with diamond abrasive blades, which is important to open the concrete pores to ensure a strong mechanical bond with the epoxy used. The next step involves patching any cracks with an eco patch. Once the floor is completely patched, an epoxy base coat is first applied to promote strong adhesion and to prevent moisture or air from coming up through the next layer of epoxy coating applied after the base coat is dry. Day 2: Once the base coat is ready for re-coat, the solvent based epoxy second coat is applied and color chips are added sequentially to the surface in even dispersion. Day 3 – All of the loose flakes are swept up and any high or low points are knocked down to ensure a smooth surface prior to the top clear coat being applied. The clear coat finish is then applied and will give the floor that polished look, and will lock down the floor chips and provide an easy to clean surface. All these process can be completed in a single day with our new product Newpoxy at different rates.

You can begin to move your belongings back into your garage approximately 24 hours after the final application (top coat) has been layed.
